"Friends" Who are Bad For Your Bank Account

The fact is, there are certain types of "friends" that can affect your spending habits.

Sometimes it's so subtle that it can be hard to notice.

But make no mistake - your money situation is directly connected to who you spend your time with.

Here's a guide to the kinds of friends that are hurting your chances of becoming rich.

If you are friends with one of these types, they could be the reason that you're not achieving the success you want.

1. The Enabler: This is the friend who somehow convinces you to buy the expensive things you don't need.

"That dress looks so great, you have to buy it!" or "Man, wouldn't it be great to watch the game on an HD flat screen?" are common phrases that these friends use to make you blow your salary on stuff you don't really need.

2. The Sponge: This friend is the one that always seems to be short on cash when the bill comes around...and you end up forking over the cash.

They're always asking for "just $20 bucks" that they never remember to pay back.

The clothes or tools that you lend them seem to disappear into some kind of Bermuda triangle.

No question about it, this friend will drain you dry - unless you learn how to say no.

3. The Competition: This friend is the one that always makes sure you know how much they paid for something, how much they or their partner make, and where they're going on vacation.

Their competitive nature comes from a deep insecurity about money, but you can easily get caught up in the competition and spend money you don't want to spend.

If you recognize these types in any of your friends, it's time to take action.

That doesn't mean you should stop being friends with them.

But you should recognize that these types all have serious issues with money.

And in order to neutralize them, you need to change the way YOU respond to their actions.

So when you find yourself opening your wallet or taking out your credit card, ask yourself who's making the decision - you or your friends?

Chances are you have some negative beliefs about money that are allowing these friends to take advantage of you.

And the only way it's gonna stop is if you change your mindset.

When you replace your negative beliefs with a millionaire mindset, you put yourself on the fast track to wealth.
